LETTER FROM THE SON OF MAN. Vol3 by ‘Lakunle Jaiyesimi

Dear Hannibal,

“This is a court of law, young man, not a court of justice”, are words attributed to Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr., one of the U.S. Supreme Court’s great Justices (as he then was). They were uttered in response to the argument of a young lawyer who mentioned severally while arguing that his client sought justice before the court.

Again, and in response to your well-articulated exposé on the mob-action against the wellbeing of justice in our dear country, I reiterate the words of Holmes, “This is a court of law, young man, not a Court of Justice”. Continue reading LETTER FROM THE SON OF MAN. Vol3 by ‘Lakunle Jaiyesimi

#Pausibility:  It Is So Easy To Start A War by Debayo Coker

Long before now, I have been carrying the inclination that I am going to write this piece but now I have the conviction of time to do it expressly. This is not an indictment on any religion or a section of the country. In fact, it is a pointer to all of us— globally—that everything is about to go down, if nothing is done in the quickest time possible.

I used to patronize one Brother Adamu. He was introduced into the compound by my landlord. He does some chores for us in the compound but for me I only allow him clean my jalopy. Many times I had to settle him even beyond what a typical industrial car wash would charge and sometimes I defray the bill of his primary principal when I see him lurking around for too long, calling out when he’s done cleaning Alhaji’s cars in order to be settled. This guy deserves that daily pittance however you view it, especially when he works to earn it; I thought each time I saw him hanging there. Adamu is an industrious young man. He had sold me his shoe shining business though I never patronized him but I appreciate the adroit with which he carries the small case beating it to call the Continue reading #Pausibility:  It Is So Easy To Start A War by Debayo Coker

#PAUSIBILITY: PROLIFERATION OF NONSENSE by Adebayo Coker

I have not been too frequent on social media lately as I have been going through a self- prescribed curative therapy, aimed at purging myself of ‘textiety’, as I was fondly glued to the internet mainly through my phones; but here I am well drowned in a deluge of messages that have flooded my handles, some of which are soliciting my opinion on some national issues; but before I settle down to that, let me digress a bit.

I had thought it is only in Nollywood that we witness watery rushes of a lazy coloration of our common sense, until last weekend when I came in contact with a certain man, whose introduction threw me into crestfallenness, followed by resounding laughter. Update: Injustice against a drug man, addict, dealer, pusher or just a druggist

The following na the story wey the MD of the Pharmacy outlet, HealthPlus Magodo, wey robbers attack recently yarn about the incident. Read and make your own conclusions…

“Dear All, this information should have come earlier, but we were waiting on the police to make progress with their investigation, so that we give accurate information. On Sun 2 Dec, armed robbers attacked Magodo Branch. A customer was shot in the foot (he is ok), personal items, cash, walking sticks, perfumes & cash were stolen. A customer’s car was driven away (its been found). Another’s car keys were taken. An unfortunate incidence indeed.

Our Guard did not report to our CSO neither did he report to his Prudential Guard. He disregarded SOPs. By Tue 4 Dec, we watched the CCTV recording & the 1st observation was that the recording started when the robbers were already inside the store. The feedback was that the Pharmacist on duty switched off the CCTV so that the robbers will not damage it, but that he later switched it on. If this was the case,we would have seen the beginning of the shift @about 10am.We would have seen the normal activities till the 2 robbers came in, Continue reading Update: Injustice against a drug man, addict, dealer, pusher or just a druggist
