The African who believes in Africa. To fly African flags in space…

download (2)

He is just 31 years old and he already heads a vast business empire that he built from scratch. His name is Ashish Thakkar and he’s the founder of the pan-African multi-sector business conglomerate Mara Group.

Here on the board of lAkUnLeScReWs, we present you his words, exclusively especially as they touch on Africa and her brewing greatness.

“Money should never be a measurement for anything.”

“I like to see myself as an entrepreneur that’s being disruptive — I like to be the underdog in a lot of cases,” “It’s all about how you go about it; but one thing I definitely don’t want to be known as is as ‘Africa’s youngest billionaire.'”

“Thakkar is gearing up to become the first ever East African in space, proudly representing the region in the Virgin Galactic program, which offers paying customers the opportunity to travel beyond the Earth’s atmosphere.” – CNN

Consequent upon the above, he said…

“I’m taking quite a few of flags into space, as a way to kind of send a strong message that ‘look, we as Africa have the vision and the ability as well.”

“It’s something that started off for fun and it’s actually turned out to be something quite nice where we can send a strong message to say, ‘we’re coming, we’re going to mark our space in that territory too.”

“The idea initially was to do it for the two months during my summer holiday.” Thakkar.” And when school started again I conveniently didn’t tell my parents that it did, and obviously they figured me out in a week.”download Continue reading The African who believes in Africa. CNN – Get Ready for an Africa Boom

Our Oga dem for CNN published the following piece on January 23, 2013 by 4:09 pm. Whether na prediction or na agenda, please, do kindly find out for yourself.

(CNN) — The rise of Africa’s long forlorn economies – what we at Renaissance Capital have dubbed “The Fastest Billion” – represents the final phase of a global economic transformation that began over 200 years ago as agrarian societies saddled with absolute rulers began their journey through industrialization into the pluralistic middle-class societies increasingly driven by the information age we know today.

For many reasons, Africa largely missed out on this journey. But no longer: while the process will not be complete by 2050, a changing set of global and local realities suggest that Africa is set to be the final beneficiary of this revolution. Continue reading CNN – Get Ready for an Africa Boom

Majek yarn say USR don dey registered in Los Angeles, California and go serve as platform to nurture Nigeria’s young musicians and push them to the international market.

“We intend to register the company in Nigeria as well and use it as a platform to get the youths out of the streets and criminality. I’m an American citizen. I may decide to go back there now because my wife and children are there. But I’m here because Nigerians are suffering and there is nobody to speak for them. That is one of the revolutions that I’m here to make,” the ‘Rainmaker’ yarn.

He also yarn say plans dey ground to precede the album release by a music tour wey dem tag Operation Feed the Poor, wey em yarn say na em little way of giving back to the society.Majek-Fashek2

“I’m not into materialism. The programme I’m coming up with is mainly to help the poor. But if I’m poor, I cannot help the poor, so that is the revolution I’m talking about– the rich must help the poor. That is why I’m embarking on the tour,” he yarn.download (8)

My Guy yarn say em don go Heaven Four Times, begin draws map

If-U-Miss-Am, Sibusiso Mthembu, 64, na South African from KwaZulu-Natal wey don walka go heaven wella.

This story na for the future although dem don report am severally in the past.

guy don walka go heaven like four times. The first time na for 1998, then 2004, 2006 and 2008.

Explaining his map

The first reporter of the news yarn say the matter start for 1993, when a white man (an angel, apparently. No be so dem go yarn?) visit am and yarn am say dem need am for heaven.

Na so my guy begin walka go heaven o. The guy don dey draw a map to make sure say we all see wetin em dey yarn say em see for heaven.

My guy yarn say na 11 heavens dey, and the fifth one, Crista, em go first. Na there, in a city wey dem (I no know who dem be o) dey call Sharmoy (dem follow my guy yarn?), na there em yarn say em meet Jesus. The main heaven na Salem, and na there God dey. God still dey young and em complexion na Gray. Jesus na white (interesting combo for the same person).

Again, my guy yarn say na on top (or inside a planet called Jadalem) em see God for the first time during his second trip. Na water and Ice cover this planet.

Em see Moses, Elijah, and Abel. Em do excursion enter the Marshnode City, na where dead body dey go to do reincarnation be that.

Here’s wetin Oddity Central get to yarn as quoted by Ynaija! “But here’s the weirdest of all his tales – he says that the people who predicted the end of the world in May last year weren’t entirely incorrect. Mthembu seems to have eavesdropped on an important meeting in the heavens, where the biggest war against Satanism was being discussed. The war is supposed to have been launched on May 23rd, so we’re basically on a countdown to the absolute end.

“The map isn’t ready yet, but Mthembu is already worried about counterfeit  versions. “People must come and see the map as one day someone from Japan or China or Britain will design a map of heaven and the people of South Africa will have forgotten that the map was originally made in South Africa,” he says. Perhaps he needs to patent his creation. And while he’s at it, write a fantasy novel and strike a movie deal too?”

Teenage girls unveiled URINE-powered generator at international exhibition in Lagos, Nigeria

Four African girls don create generator wey fit use wee-wee “Urine, that is” to produce electricity. One litre of wee-wee go produce 6-hour supply of electricity.

Dem showcase the generator for Maker Faire in Lagos, Nigeria, a week ago.

The girl-innovators are teens Duro-Aina Adebola, Akindele Abiola, and Faleke Oluwatoyin, all age 14, and Bello Eniola, 15.

No ask me how the thing go work. Go find the girls.

But Yahoo News fit help small:”

  • Urine is put into an electrolytic cell, which separates out the hydrogen.
  • The hydrogen goes into a water filter for purification, which then gets pushed into the gas cylinder.
  • The gas cylinder pushes hydrogen into a cylinder of liquid borax, which is used to remove the moisture from the hydrogen gas.
  • This purified hydrogen gas is pushed into the generator.

And as for delivering the fuel itself? Well, we’ll leave that up to the consumer.”

Hoping the right quarters go pick this up.
